Wattsipper by Summit Appliance Introduces Battery-Free 120V Induction Ranges

Bronx, NY, April 15th, 2026 - Felix Storch, Inc. (FSI), a manufacturing leader in specialty refrigeration and cooking, has launched a new brand of 120V battery-free induction ranges. Wattsipper by Summit Appliance aims to help make electrification simpler, more accessible, and more practical for today’s evolving housing environments.

Developed to minimize the costs associated with gas conversions, Wattsipper ranges come with pre-installed power cords that enable “Plug & Cook” functionality with a dedicated 20 amp 120V outlet. The entire product uses just 1800 watts of cooking power, roughly 85% less than standard 240V electric ranges. Full cooking capability is achieved through Wattsipper’s patent-pending dynamic power allocation system. The induction surface offers similar cooking precision to gas burners without the dangers of toxic pollutants or leaks. All units comply with the latest UL and FCC standards.

“Many landlords, property managers, and even residents want to move toward electrification and cleaner cooking, but face significant infrastructure limitations, especially in older buildings without 240 volt power,”  said Paul Storch, President of FSI,  “Wattsipper helps remove those barriers by delivering practical cooking solutions without requiring a premium price tag or complete electrical system overhaul.”

Wattsipper products will be priced 50 to 75% below comparable battery-powered ranges, and will reduce maintenance costs by using conventional cooking components. Without a battery, the weight of these units is identical to conventional stoves. Installation requires little more than plugging the unit into the appropriate 120V receptacle, allowing setup to be complete in minutes.

Wattsipper ranges feature a three zone induction cooking surface and a full-sized oven that can be used in conventional bake or broil modes. A convection fan helps reduce cooking time and can be used to simulate air frying. The line is available in two styles under the Heritage and Contemporary collections, with colors in white, black, and stainless steel. 30” and 24” models will be available this summer, with 20” sizes coming in later 2026.

Summit Appliance’s launch of Wattsipper reflects a broader shift toward adaptable appliances built for changing residential needs. As cities and housing providers explore scalable electrification strategies, Wattsipper aims to serve as the perfect partner for those seeking an affordable path toward electrification.

Wattsipper products are now available for pre-order and will begin shipping in July. For more information, visit wattsipper.com

Summit Appliance Raises the Bar On Ductless Range Hoods

Bronx, NY, March 16, 2026–Summit Appliance, the residential appliance division of Felix Storch, Inc., has launched a new series of under-cabinet range hoods to meet the growing demand for more effective ventilation in spaces without access to external ducting. Made in the USA, the HRTX collection was developed to provide efficient, quiet air filtration in a clean 4” high fit that suits a popular minimalist aesthetic.

Ductless range hoods are commonly used in apartments, condos, and similar settings. With over 50 years of experience as the appliance expert in small kitchens, Summit sought to improve the performance, creating a design that outperforms the competition by 40%. Compared to traditional recirculating hoods (which are typically ducted hoods that have been converted), the HRTX series features a more powerful cross-flow fan system and larger ventilation area with two oversized filters. Extracted cooking air is filtered out through the upper grill, set at a slight upwards angle that ensures it blows away from users while cooking.

“When you convert a ducted hood to recirculating mode, you lose a lot of filtration capacity,” says Paul Storch, President of FSI. “As leaders in the small kitchen appliance market, we felt it was time to raise the standards on ductless hoods with smart engineering specially geared to the needs of these spaces.”

This series features a 4” height and retractable design on metal ball-bearing glides, fitting comfortably in tight spaces without overwhelming kitchen design. Options are available in 304 grade stainless steel or powder-coated steel in white and black semi-gloss finishes. The HRTX series comes in 18”, 20”, and 24” widths to accommodate various small kitchen layouts. Larger sizes are available by special order, and ADA compliant models are offered in all size and style variations. All hoods include two pre-installed LED bulbs to provide full illumination over the cooking surface.

By combining American manufacturing, sleek modern style, and innovative airflow technology, Summit Appliance’s retractable range hoods offer a refined solution for kitchens where traditional ventilation is impractical. The HRTX series is available nationwide through a large network of authorized dealers. For more information, visit www.summitappliance.com/retractrable-range-hoods.

SUMMIT APPLIANCE LAUNCHES FULL-HEIGHT, PANEL-READY WINE CELLAR FOR SHALLOW DEPTH SPACES

Bronx, NY, July 28, 2025 — Summit Appliance, a division of Felix Storch, Inc. (FSI), continues to expand its selection of 18 inch deep refrigeration products with a new full-height wine cellar. This dual zone model comes panel-ready to bring professional-grade wine storage to home bars, premium but space-challenged kitchens, restaurants, wineries, and more.

Approved to both residential and commercial standards, Summit model SDHWC98 is sized at 71.75” H x 23.5” W x 18” D and is designed to be installed in 72” H x 24” W x 20” D enclosures, with a fully articulating European hinge to ensure a flush fit for zero clearance openings. The double pane tempered glass door features a seamless stainless steel trim that can be used as is, or customized with a wood panel to blend into adjacent cabinetry. Tri-colored lighting allows the unit to be switched between a white, amber, or blue LED presentation.

This unit joins Summit’s existing undercounter and ADA height series of 18 inch deep refrigerators, wine cellars, and beverage centers. This unique shallow footprint can fit easily in narrow home bars, dining room corners, converted spaces, and other areas where a full-depth unit can't be accommodated.

With its history of unique sizes, the SDHWC98 was the natural progression for the Summit Appliance line. “An integrated full-height wine cellar is such a classic way to elevate a home or commercial bar,” notes Paul Storch, president of FSI. “We’re proud to offer that premium design and storage capability for spaces where a traditionally sized dual zone wine cellar was out of the question.”

In addition to its unique size and customizable front, the SDHWC98 line is equipped with several advanced features for an optimum user experience. The model is engineered with an inverter compressor to ensure quiet, efficient operation, adjusting the temperature conditions according to the environment. The commercial grade compressor allows independent storage in the dual zone interior to maintain proper temperature for white, sparkling, and red wine. An integrated alarm system provides audible alerts if the door is left open or if internal temperatures fluctuate outside the recommended range, adding an extra layer of protection for wine inventory.
